Hello! My name is Vasilina and you are watching Poznavaka! Firstly let’s warm up! Repeat after me! One, two, three, four, five and six. Ok? Today we are going to learn what is the Solar System. The globe shows us, how our planet looks like. But if we want to know what is around it, we have to seat on the rocket ship and to go out into space. Here we are. In the centre of the Solar System there is a star called the Sun.
The closest planet to the sun is Mercury, and it is very hot there. Then it goes the Venus planet, it is the same size as the Earth planet, where we live. Not far from there – Mars, which sometimes is called “the red planet”. Jupiter is one thousand and three hundred times bigger than our Earth. Saturn is easily recognized by its rings. A day on Uranus lasts about 17 hours. And the coldest planet is Neptune. In the next episode we will learn when viewing the Earth from space was for the first time.
